Our brief
RNIB, a leading charity supporting people with sight loss, works with businesses such as Natwest and Virgin Trains, helping them to maximise the value of their products and services by opening them up to the 12.2 million disabled people in the UK.
RNIB Business wanted to boost its profile amongst businesses across a number of sectors including retail and banking to ensure these brands are investing in accessibility.
Our campaign
We recommended creating a thought leadership campaign with the primary objective of starting a dialogue with high street retailers. We devised the ‘Business Accessibility’ report which would rate the accessibility of some of the UK’s largest chains. We worked with two partially sighted mystery shoppers to assess their experiences. This covered everything from staff assistance to store environment and in-store information.
Success
RNIB Business Solutions now has tailored accessibility information for 14 high street retailers and is using the report to open more doors to dialogue with companies across the UK.
